    Welcome

OA prides itself on the overall success of its students. Students are from various parts of the Bay Area and bring different strengths and talents to enrich the diverse community. The school creates triangular communication among students, parents and teachers for the common goal of students reaching their full potential in academic achievement and personal development.

The students develop a sense of self and purpose in the nurturing and supportive structure provided by the teachers. As advisors, coaches, or artistic directors, the classroom teachers work with students in several settings. In addition to their accessibility to student interests and their willingness to meet the individual needs of each of their students, the teachers maintain the necessary academic standards through student-centered instructional methods.

The environment at OA is conducive to student achievement by emphasizing organization, time-management, and self-advocacy. While developing self-confidence and self-reliance, students build upon their successes at OA. Students who graduate from Orinda Academy are confident that they are academically prepared and personally ready for college.

Orinda Academy is a viable choice for any student who has a desire to be challenged to fulfill their potential in the classroom and in music, computers, athletics, drama, dance and art.
