Class Name Advanced Studio Practices

Brief Description - 1 paragraph  Students are developing their own paintings and expanding what they have learned in advanced art.  Students are building their art portfolios that will be photographed and placed on a CD disk.  Short paper and project about an artist in history.

Student will present their work in a student show at the end of the year.

Grading Policy  All grades are based on student projects and the semester final.

Required Materials  Materials are supplied in class. The student will be required to supply a drawing pad for drawings to be done outside of class.  Students are required to present five drawings per week.

Major Assignments  Class drawings, four paintings using four different mediums, visit three art galleries and write a critique of three paintings, create a portfolio of their art work, and present their work in a student show at the end of the year.
