I believe that questions and problems are the basis for learning. Using the best tools to find and communicate the solutions to or analysis of complex and problematic situations builds not only higher order thinking skills but also develops facility for management and integration that will serve the learner well in life. The global information economy mandates that we expand our repetior of skills to deal with vast amounts of information. Researchers in 21st Century learning have begun to identify new skills such as filtering that are vital to be successful in the work environment.
Breaking down the walls of the traditional classroom and inviting new media environments into the curriculum empowers the student to take charge of their learning in ways they can readily visualize.
