Students at Orinda Academy
Love Learning. Love School. Love Your Future.
“I came here thinking I just couldn’t do school and I was never going to get into college. Now I‘m getting As and Bs and I really look forward to coming to school.” –Kelly ’17
In and out of the classroom, Orinda Academy students are embraced, supported and challenged to excel. Our teaching methods support students from all backgrounds, learning styles, and differences.
Let us help you reach your full potential.
Orinda Academy meets UC college entrance requirements and is accredited by WASC. Most importantly, we provide students of all learning profiles with a challenging education that prepares them for higher education and fulfilling careers
YOUR LEARNING IS AS INDIVIDUAL AS YOU
Get on a first-name basis with the teachers and administrators who work hard to identify your learning strengths and support any learning differences. The Orinda Academy team is dedicated to getting to know who you are on both sides of the classroom door.
Say goodbye to past struggles. We start by helping you discover how you learn best and develop support strategies for learning differences as needed. Tapping into your true abilities will uncover new potential for your learning and success. Graduating seniors are amazed at the transformation they experience.
CONNECT & FEEL WELCOME FROM DAY ONE
Come be yourself at Orinda Academy. If you’ve struggled in a large school that doesn’t meet your needs, our personal attention, small classes, and customized teaching methods will help you break through to your true potential.
Supports are in place from day one to help you to connect with classmates, find your way around, and adapt to a new learning environment. Teachers hold office hours and are available for questions and mentoring. Administrators have an open-door policy. Student ambassadors from the 11th and 12th grade leadership class are on hand to guide you.
Weekly clubs, the zen garden, basketball court, ping pong table and plentiful common areas give you a chance to build friendships outside the classroom.
