Basketball Season in Full Swing

Orinda Academy Boys and Girls Basketball Teams began our seasons up in Sebastopol on Tuesday Nov. 18th against the Summerfield-Waldorf teams.  The boys fell to a very strong Summerfield team 75-43 in spite of 17 points and 10 rebounds for David Treas and 13 points for Brandon Davis.  The Lady Eagles also succumbed by a score of 30-11.  Anissa Laval Kiyemba led Orinda with 5 points, Julia Friedman scored 4 points, and Maddie Murphy and Sarah Heyward had 7 rebounds each.  On Friday Nov. 21st, the Orinda Academy Boys Team won 57-48 in our home opener over Oakland Military Institute.  David Treas led the way again with 29 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 assists.  Chris Scott added 8 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals, Dylan Goldman had 7 points and provided strong leadership at point guard, and Brandon Davis had 10 rebounds and 4 assists.  Both Boys and Girls play our next game versus Redwood Adventist Academy on Monday, Dec. 1st (boys at home, girls on road), before heading to Pescadero on Thursday, Dec. 4th for the Pescadero Hoop Dreams Small School Invitational Tournament.
