Computers I
- A broad introduction to the use of computers as tools for creativity, communications, and organizing information. In addition to ethical and technical fundamentals of computer and Internet use, students will learn and gain mastery of the Microsoft Office tools for writing, analyzing and presenting information as well as gain a practical use of information technology to assist them in other coursework throughout their high school and college education. Students will be evaluated based on their contribution to class discussions, research and writing skills, and technical and conceptual development as demonstrated through in-class projects. In addition to Microsoft Office, students will practice their keyboarding skills using Mavis Beacon software.

Computers II
- This course builds on the research and experience gained in Computers I to explore more advanced topics in computer technology as well as practice teamwork. Students will work in small groups on a collaborative project that is to be designed and presented to the rest of the class using the research materials, computer software and techniques covered in the first semester. Students will be evaluated based on participation, project management, collaborative planning and design.
