A Message From The Head of School

At Orinda Academy, we talk about doing high school differently. What we mean is that every faculty and staff member is guided by the mission to teach each student how to be their best self. Fostering scholarship and creativity, and empowering students to use their own unique view of the world to arrive at unique solutions are rewarding endeavors, and requires us, as educators, to go above and beyond to truly know every student.

Our motto at OA is You Be You, and it shows. When visiting our campus, you’ll meet musicians, writers, coders, artists, and light saber masters. Young poets, historians, and biologists work alongside each other, creating a vibrant, creative, and supportive community.

Being a small campus means that we have the capacity to really know our students, celebrate their individuality, and support them. Our students have the opportunity to explore their interests, embrace leadership options, take risks, and develop new areas of interest. The result is a high school community unlike any other.

I am grateful to be a part of this remarkable community. I encourage you to explore our website, and we look forward to welcoming you to our lively campus. Please reach out anytime with questions, and thank you for your interest in Orinda Academy!
