Exciting news here! ESOL classes are implementing the "Flipped Classroom" to examine grammar.
For homework, students watch and respond to a short grammar presentation on YouTube. The following class day, students have more time to practice and apply what we learned at home.
So far there has been 15 added minutes of extended classroom activities to give students more speaking, writing and reading practice.
The best part about the Flipped model is that it allows students to re-watch the lesson in case they missed main ideas or if they learn at different paces than their peers.
