Here’s your chance to become OA-famous – send a video of you being talented to Molly Smart who will create a video talent show for us all to watch together on Friday, April 2. Please send your video to Molly by Wednesday, March 31 to give her time to put it all together. Sing, dance, recite poetry…you do you! Our talent shows are tons of fun and you don’t want to miss it.

A Visit from a Bay Area Baseball Legend
Hall of Fame pitcher Vida Blue stopped by OA on Thursday to say hi. Mr. Blue’s legendary status brought out the superfans especially among the OA staff. Janet gave him a tour of campus and he was kind enough to smile for a photo.
Creative Writing Contest for High School Students
The Friends of the Orinda Library have announced their annual creative writing contest for high school students. Our very own Matthew M. was an honorable mention winner last year in the poetry category. There are cash prizes for winners in each category. The deadline to enter is April 16 (the Friday during spring break). You can enter once in up to three of the four categories: poetry, science fiction/fantasy, biography/memoir/nonfiction, and short story. Details and entry forms can be found HERE; any questions about the contest email Katherine.
