While you progress through the curriculum at your prep school, you may begin to realize that knowing how to learn is a critical step toward greater academic achievement. When you watch this video, you’ll learn about the differences between verbal and visual memory. Verbal memorization techniques include the use of acronyms, word associations, and acrostics to help students memorize chunks of information. Visual memory, on the other hand, utilizes the power of imagination and the use of the senses to preserve information.
This video provides a demonstration of each. You’ll notice that in the visual memory demonstration, the narrator often includes adjectives to bring the information to life and make it more memorable.
