Parent Group Special Events at Orinda Academy

Studies have shown that parental involvement in schools is a critical component of a successful education that empowers students to reach their full potential, adapt to the school environment, and go on to postsecondary education. At Orinda Academy, our parent group encourages parents to work closely with teachers, other parents, and students to create a positive, successful academic atmosphere. When you enroll your child at our college prep school, we hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities to become involved with our school community.

Each year, our school hosts a Spring Family Barbeque to allow parents to connect with teachers and with other parents. We also host two Staff Appreciation Luncheons each year to honor our outstanding faculty members. Parents also help with community events such as the annual Crab Feed. To further our educational initiatives, our parent group participates in a college workshop and hosts numerous educational speakers.
