Orinda Academy provides students in grades 6 through 12 with a supportive, nurturing environment. At our independent college preparatory school, your child will be challenged to reach new academic heights. We invite families who are interested in our private school to learn more about us by exploring our website and visiting our campus in the East Bay area.

Schedule a Visit

Prospective students may schedule a shadow visit throughout most of the school year. Shadow visits are an excellent opportunity to learn more about our school environment, faculty, and academic programs. You can schedule a shadow visit before or after submitting your application package.

Schedule an Interview

Student interviews are often conducted during the child’s shadow visit; however, they may also be scheduled at a later date. The student interview is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to ask in-depth questions about the curriculum. Students can expect to discuss their interests and academic or career goals.

Attend an Open House

Our college prep school holds Open Houses in the fall and spring, the next date being April 23rd. Families are encouraged to attend to become more familiar with our school. Open Houses are opportunities for you to meet other families, students, and teachers.

Apply for Admission

You can download our admissions forms on our website. Parents should fill out the main application form, while students should fill out the student application form. A complete application package also includes several recommendation forms and a signed transcript request form. Please submit your application fee with your completed application package.

Undergo Testing

The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is offered at several East Bay schools. Your student should take this exam to be considered for admission. International students must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Orinda Academy offers small class sizes and a rigorous college prep curriculum, tailored to each student’s unique learning style. If you have any questions about applying to our school, call (925) 357-9719 to speak with a friendly admissions representative.
